Content and Discovery JISC meeting

e-Tutor Inma Álvarez attended this week the JISC event “Discovery: making sure your resources are discovered, used and reused” in Birmingham. The one and a half day meeting provided an opportunity for funders and project teams to discuss issues around business cases for working with content for the important stakeholders in institutions, the possibilities of open data as well as productive technical approaches. The purpose of this meeting was to explore shared problems and opportunities across the JISC programmes:  Strand A Digitisation & open educational resources (OER); Strand B Mass Digitisation; Strand C Clustering Digital Content, and identify areas where further work is required.
